Five men arrested after three injured in Swindon knife attack

Five men have been arrested after three people were injured in a knife attack.

Police swarmed Moredon Road, Swindon, after a disorder broke out on Sunday afternoon (18 June).

Two men and a teenage boy were hurt during the incident – at least two of whom sustained stab wounds and attended Great Western Hospital for treatment.

Detectives have been carrying out urgent enquires since, arresting a total of five men in connection with the bout of serious violence.

A 27-year-old man was arrested on Wednesday evening (21 June) on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and robbery in connection with this incident and is currently in police custody.

On Monday (19 June), officers arrested a 19-year-old man arrested on suspicion of violent disorder. However, he has since been released on conditional bail.

Another 19-year-old man and a 24-year-old man were arrested on Tuesday (20 June) on suspicion of violent disorder and have also been released on conditional bail.

An 18-year-old man was also arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender, and has since been released on conditional bail.

A crime scene was in place for about three hours
