Air ambulance called to serious crash on A30 in Ludwell village

An air ambulance has landed for a serious crash on the A30 in Wiltshire.

Emergency services were called to Ludwell village, near Shaftesbury, at around midday (Thursday).

The crash is understood to involve a tractor and motorcycle.

Wiltshire Air Ambulance touched down on a field near Donhead Sports Club.

The road is currently closed and is likely to remain that way for some hours.

A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: “We are currently attending a serious road traffic collision on the A30 near Lower Coombe at the junction with Salisbury Road.

“Drivers are advised to seek alternative routes while emergency services attend. Thank you for your patience.”
