A man brandished a knife during a disorder outside a nightclub, a court heard.
20-year-old Stanley Carter took out a 15cm-long blade in Weymouth Street, Warminster, in the early hours of 12 February this year – sparking a swift police response.
Door staff pushed clubgoers back to protect them from the defendant, who legged it before police officers arrived at the scene.
When officers turned up a short time later, they chased Carter on foot and located him nearby. By that point, the knife had disappeared.
The man, of Field Close, Westbury, pleaded guilty to possessing a knife in public at Salisbury Magistrates’ Court on Friday (16 June).
On hearing that Carter is awaiting sentence at Salisbury Crown Court for other crimes he had admitted, the bench adjourned the case to be tied up there.
The defendant was released on bail with one condition – not to go to Weymouth Street.
