A person was killed by a train at a station in Wiltshire last night (Thursday 1 June).
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance was tasked to the scene near Salisbury at about 11pm.
Emergency services, including fire crews, swarmed to West Dean railway station for the incident – which involved a Great Western Railway train to Portsmouth.
The casualty was pronounced dead by medics shortly after their arrival.
A British Transport Police spokesperson confirmed that the death is “not being treated as suspicious” and a “file will be prepared for the coroner”.
