Warminster ‘knifeman’ allegedly tried to set fire to his neighbour’s home

A ‘knifeman’ allegedly tried to set fire to his neighbour’s home on Saturday (27 May).

35-year-old Dominic Bowman appeared at Swindon Magistrates’ Court yesterday (29 May) charged with multiple offences following the incident in Alcock Crest, Warminster.

He faces allegations of possessing a saw and kitchen knife in a public place, racially-aggravated criminal damage to a window and door, and attempting to commit arson with intent to endanger life.

Due to the serious nature of the claims, magistrates decline jurisdiction over the case and remanded Bowman in custody to appear at Salisbury Crown Court on 30 June.
