Wiltshire crossroads crash leaves biker, 60s, with significant injuries

A crossroads crash has left a biker with significant injuries, Wiltshire Police has confirmed.

Two air ambulances were called to the road traffic collision on the B4696 Braydon Road, at the junction with Pavenhill, around 12.15pm today (Saturday).

A motorcycle and a white Renault Captur were involved in the incident, which left the biker – a man aged in his 60s – with potentially life-changing injuries.

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance airlifted the casualty to the Major Trauma Centre at Southampton General Hospital.

The three occupants of the car were also taken to hospital as a precaution. They aren’t believed to have sustained any notable injuries.

Forensic collision investigation work is ongoing at the scene.

The crossroads are expected to remain closed until late this evening or the early hours of tomorrow (Sunday 28 May).
