Police in Swindon area appealing for witnesses to a hit-and-run in Toothill last week.

At around 4.30pm on Saturday 30 December, a 35-year-old woman was crossing Edington Close with her two-year-old son when a black car reversed suddenly; instinctively she threw her child to safety before being hit by the car and falling to the ground.

The driver then drove away from the scene without attempting to stop.

“Also, if anyone else heard or saw this incident or anything suspicious -perhaps involving a black car – in this area at this time, please contact me.”

If you can help with Wiltshire Police’s investigation into the incident, please contact PC Dan Thomas on 101 or anonymously, via Crimestoppers, on 0800 555 111.
