Drug dealing concerns spark police raid in Swindon as arrest made

Drug dealing concerns have sparked a police raid on a property in Swindon.

Officers executed a warrant at an address in Affleck Close, Toothill, on Tuesday afternoon (28 March).

It came after local residents reported suspected drug dealing taking place there – with electric bikes reportedly used to deal illicit substances in the community.

Inside the property, officers found class A and B drugs and as a result, a man was arrested. Two electric bikes were also seized.

A closure order was put in place following the raid; anybody entering the address (other than the resident) could be arrested and prosecuted for breaching the order.

A photograph, captured by officers at the scene, shows a bookshelf littered with drug paraphernalia – believed to be used to take crack cocaine and heroin.
