Police return to Salisbury home months after ‘baby murder’ probe launched

Police have returned to a Salisbury home months after a ‘baby murder’ probe was launched.

A specialist search team and a dog unit were spotted attending the property on Tournament Road this afternoon (Wednesday).

In November last year, police swarmed the address after an 18-year-old woman, a 23-year-old man and a 54-year-old woman were earlier arrested on suspicion of murder.

It came after a five-week-old baby boy was rushed to Salisbury District Hospital two months earlier, but died of his injuries eight days later – on 9 September 2022.

Today officers have returned to the location, which is believed to be home to at least one of the suspects, to carry out searches – despite previously combing the house, garden and cars.

Wiltshire Police confirmed that their presence relates to an “ongoing investigation” but would not confirm if it was in relation to the murder investigation or a new probe.

“It would be inappropriate to comment further at this stage”, a spokesperson said.
