South Western Ambulance Service sent double-crewed two ambulances, two rapid response vehicles and Wiltshire Air Ambulance to the incident.

The medical helicopter landed in a field on Akers Way so the charity’s critical care medics could provide advanced care.

A 15-year-old boy was airlifted to Bristol Children’s Hospital for urgent treatment.

Further details about his injuries are unknown at this time but they are not believed to be suspicious, a force spokesperson confirmed.
