Woman, 20s, arrested after man seriously assaulted at Swindon home

A woman’s been arrested after a man was seriously assaulted at a home in Swindon.

Paramedics rushed to the scene in Ulysses Road, Oakhurst, at around 8.25am this morning (Saturday).

A man, aged in his 20s, was taken to hospital with a significant – but not life-threatening – wound.

Police also attended the scene – arresting a woman, aged in her 20s, in connection with the attack. She remains in custody for questioning.

A crime scene is in place at the address, with forensic work ongoing since around midday.

A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: “A scene is currently in place at Ulysses Road, Oakhurst, Swindon, following a serious assault inside a property at around 8.25am this morning (25/02).

“Please be reassured that this is an isolated incident and there is no threat to the wider public. There may be some minor disruptions in the area whilst enquiries are ongoing.”
