Trowbridge man denies attempting sexual communication with a child

A Trowbridge man has denied attempting sexual communication with a child.

Simon Aspinall appeared at Salisbury Crown Court for a plea hearing last Wednesday (15 February).

The 65-year-old, of Newtown, pleaded not guilty to a charge of attempting to communicate with a child under the age of 16 for sexual gratification.

The alleged offence dates back to April 2021.

Master Richard Davison, sitting as a Recorder, set the trial date for 24 July at Winchester Crown Court. It’s scheduled to run for three days.
