Murder investigation as man stabbed to death in Bristol city centre park

Police have launched a murder investigation after a man was stabbed in Bristol city centre.

Police and ambulance crews were called to Castle Park at around 4.30pm on yesterday (Tuesday, 31 January).

A man in his 30s was found with stab wounds and was taken to hospital by ambulance. He died in hospital.

The man’s identity has not yet been formally confirmed and police are still working to trace his next of kin.

A large cordon is in place while officers carry out enquiries at the scene.

Nobody is believed to have been arrested in connection with the attack at this stage.

Police are keen to hear from anyone who may have seen the incident in the park, or who have relevant CCTV, dashcam or mobile phone footage, which could help the investigation.
