Another stabbing: Police launch knife attack probe in Swindon as woman arrested

Detectives have launched an investigation into a knife attack on a man in Swindon.

The incident is believed to have taken place in the Queens Drive area, near Dudmore Road and Burger King, shortly after 4.45am today (Saturday).

The 19-year-old victim was rushed to hospital with stab wounds.

Police say his injuries are not believed to be life-changing or life-threatening. He is due to be discharged shortly.

A block of flats off Lennox Drive is being guarded by police

Officers have arrested a woman on suspicion of grievous bodily harm. She remains in custody for questioning.

Blood is visible on the floor outside a block of flats off Lennox Drive, a short distance from the scene. Blood can also be seen on the communal door frame.

Queens Drive was cordoned off as a crime scene, but reopened to traffic in pedestrians shortly before 11am.

Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101 quoting log 68 of today (10/12). In an emergency always call 999.

The news comes less than a week since the fatal stabbing of Owen Dunn – who was knifed with a machete in Haydon End.
