Boy, 14, and man, 20, arrested for murder after fatal stabbing in Swindon

A 14-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of murder alongside a 20-year-old man following a fatal stabbing in Swindon yesterday (Sunday).

Wiltshire Police has confirmed an 18-year-old man, named locally as Owen Dunn, was killed in an attack in Torun Way, Haydon End, at around 1.30pm.

Two males – aged 14 and 20, were arrested on suspicion of murder – they both remain in custody.

The Major Crime Investigation Team (MCIT) is heading up the complex investigation and a post-mortem is due to be carried out in the coming days.

Forensics are combing the scene for vital clues shortly after the stabbing last night (Sunday)

Detective Chief Inspector Phil Walker, of the MCIT said: “Members of the public will see an increased police presence in the area over the coming days as we carry out our investigation.

“We would urge everyone to avoid speculation and making comments on social media regarding the victim – this will clearly add to the distress of his family.
