Pedestrian, 30s, seriously injured after being struck by car in Swindon

A pedestrian has been seriously injured in a road traffic collision in Swindon this morning.

Emergency services attended the crash outside The Dockle Farmhouse, in Bridge End Road, at around 6am today (Wednesday).

A man, aged in his 30s, was rushed to hospital with significant, but not life-threatening, injuries.

The route was closed until 11am whilst police investigated the crash and recovered the vehicle involved.

A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: “We were called shortly before 6am this morning (30/11) to Bridge End Road in Stratton, Swindon, following an RTC between a car and a pedestrian.

“The pedestrian, a man in his 30s, suffered serious injuries which are not thought to be life-threatening, and has been taken to hospital.

“The road was closed but has now reopened. No arrests have been made.”
