Emergency services are currently at the scene of a three-car crash in Akers Way.

Three cars are understood to have been involved in a shunt which has partially blocked the route.

The incident follows the death of a teenage boy in the same spot on Friday morning (25 November).

In a statement, a school spokesperson said the crash involved “three members of the public, all in cars” and “non of our children have been involved”.

They added: “We are mindful that this may be difficult for our children to walk past after the events of last Friday so we have put additional members of staff out on duty and will walk all children to the top of the hill with their tutors.

“There have been additional PCSOs and Police Officers in school today to support children so they are helping with your children getting home.”

Nobody’s believed to have been injured, but there are delays in the area whilst recovery is underway.
