Cyclist, 70s, injured in Marlborough after car door opened in her path

A cyclist has been taken to hospital following a road traffic collision in Marlborough.

Emergency services were called to the incident in High Street at around 9.10am on Saturday morning.

The cyclist, a woman in her 70s, fell from her bicycle outside the RSPCA charity shop when she impacted a car door that was opened in her path.

“The cyclist was caught by the car door as it was to opened, and she was taken to hospital with her injuries”, a spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said.

Adding: “No arrests have been made.”
