Wiltshire and Swindon Coroner’s Court in Salisbury heard that Samantha’s body was found the morning after a family party to celebrate her birthday.

Her cause of death was compression of the neck structures by a ligature. The inquest was adjourned to a date to be fixed.

A fundraiser has been launched to help her husband, Nathan, cover the costs of Samantha’s funeral. To date, more than £4,100 has been raised.

A family spokesperson said: “We are so saddened, shocked and lost for words at the loss of our dear Samantha. She was loved by so many for her vibrancy and passion, and touched many people with her deep love.

“A beautiful and loving wife, friend, daughter, sister, granddaughter, dancer and scholar; she will be dearly missed.

“Nathan has been so touched and overwhelmed by so many messages and heartfelt condolences, and wishes to pass on his deep thanks to all those who have been so kind.

“As this was so unexpected, there are no funeral funds in place. We, his family and friends, wanted to give the opportunity for us to show practical support for Nathan to help cover the costs which will be in the region of £6,000.”
