A suspected drug driver was arrested in Trowbridge this morning (Thursday, 20 October).
Roads policing officers were dealing with a breakdown when a black van passed with an orange windscreen tint.
Sparking their attention, local officers were tasked with stopping the vehicle – a test of the tint revealed that tint was not letting enough light through and was deemed illegal. 
However, the driver failed a roadside DrugWipe for cannabis and was arrested. He remains in custody at this time.
CORRECTION: We originally reported that the window tint is legal and above board. This was due to the misreading of the police statement. The tints were actually found to be illegal. We’re sorry for any confusion.
