A419 closed as emergency services called to multi-vehicle collision

UPDATE: The A419 has since opened.


The A419 has been closed northbound following a multi-vehicle collision.

Emergency services were called to the crash at around 1.30pm today (Sunday, 18 September).

The incident is located between Commonhead Roundabout and White Hart Roundabout.

It’s not yet clear if anyone has been seriously hurt, or how long the closure is likely to last.

A Highways England spokesperson said: “The A419 in Wiltshire is closed northbound between the A4259 (Commonhead Roundabout) and the A420 (near Swindon) due to a multi-vehicle collision.

“Emergency services including Wiltshire Police are in attendance. National Highways Traffic Officers are also providing assistance with traffic management.”
