Another cannabis factory has been discovered in Swindon town centre.
It’s believed the large grow was found in Bridge Street yesterday (Thursday, 15 September) – sparking a police probe in a bid to arrest those responsible.
The cannabis farm is located above the Supreme Doner Kebab restaurant, but it’s not yet clear whether they were involved in the illegal activity.
The news comes just ten days after a similar discovery in Regent Street – where more than 300 cannabis plants were located in a former phone shop.
A specialist team from Avon and Somerset Police, part of Operation Viscount, have been called in to dismantle and remove the grow and all associated materials from the building.
The pungent stench of cannabis can be smelt throughout the town centre since the police opened the property’s windows.
Wiltshire Police has been approached for comment.
