Wiltshire Air Ambulance touched down in Mannington Recreation Ground shortly before 9pm – allowing two critical medics to attend the scene.

The specialist paramedics were rushed to the location by police, after collecting them from the emergency landing site.

The road is blocked in both directions – and isn’t likely to be clear for another hour.

Only a single police vehicle is believed to be at the incident, signifying that this is a medical rather than a criminal event.
