Two ambulances, an ambulance rapid response vehicle and up to ten police vehicles were spotted attending the serious incident at approximately 2.30pm.

The boy was arrested shortly after the alleged attack and was put before Swindon Magistrates’ Court on Monday morning (12 September).

Due to his age, the case was adjourned until today (Tuesday, 13 September) – where he’ll appear before a youth bench at the same court.

He faces charges of grievous bodily harm with intent, possession of a machete in a public place and theft.

The victim in this particular case has a long criminal history – he has previously been convicted of numerous violent and weapons offences.
