Police arrest teenage boy following knife attack and robbery in Swindon

Police have arrested a teenage boy following a knife attack and robbery in Swindon.

The victim, a young male, was stabbed as a suspect stole this electric bicycle in Frobisher Drive at around 2.30pm yesterday (Friday, 9 September).

Officers have conducted extensive enquiries in the area, and have since arrested a 17-year-old boy.

He is in custody held on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent – a crime that, if convicted, carries a maximum jail term of life.

Wiltshire Police say the victim’s injuries, whilst serious, are not thought to be life-changing or life-threatening.

“We would like to hear from anyone with information relating to this incident”, a force spokesperson said.
