Swindon street locked down as armed police officers swoop on property

A Swindon street is locked down following an incident involving armed police.

Officers swooped on a property in Linden Avenue, Pinehurst, at around midday today (7 September).

At least two armed response vehicles, a dog unit, a traffic unit and regular police response vehicles are in attendance.

Witnesses claim to have seen armed officers wearing helmets and carrying large firearms as they deal with the incident.

Wiltshire Police has been approached for comment.
