A Swindon town centre road has been closed as emergency services deal with an welfare incident.
Police and the ambulance service were called to reports of a person in distress on a multi-storey car park in Farnsby Street before 3pm today (Sunday, 4 September).
The person is understood to be sat on the edge of the Brunel West car park, and is suffering a mental health crisis.
At least eight police vehicles are in attendance, alongside an ambulance.
The one-way road is closed from Faringdon Road, with motorists diverted away from the area.
The incident could last several hours while 999 crews work to persuade the person down safely.
