Suspect sought by police after driver blocked and held at knifepoint in Faringdon

Police are hunting a suspect after a driver was held at knifepoint in Faringdon.

The concerning incident happened in Clements Way at around 6pm on Saturday (13 August).

Thames Valley Police says the victim was driving down the road when he was blocked in by the offender.

The suspect then brandished a knife and held it to the victim, before driving away.

The offender is described as a white man, of slim build, with very dark, combed-over hair and tattoos.

He was wearing a white vest and sunglasses and was driving a white Ford Transit.

Investigating officer, PC Chris Druce said: “I would like to appeal to anyone who saw this incident, or who has any information which could help our investigation, to get in touch.

“If you have any details which you think could be useful, please call us on 101, quoting reference number 43220366596.

“Alternatively, for 100% anonymity, you can also call the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
