TREVOR MARTIN SAMS (52) – CASTLE STREET, MERE

CONVICTED OF: Attempting to communicate with a child under the age of 16 for the purpose of obtaining sexual gratification in January 2021

SENTENCE: Three-year community order – including the requirement to take part in a sex offender programme for 31 days, 60 rehabilitation activity requirement days, and 150 hours of unpaid work

NOTES: Sams must sign the sex offenders’ register for five years and abide by the terms of a five-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO)


JACK RICHARD BRECKENRIDGE (24) – LONG STREET, DEVIZES

CONVICTED OF: Assaulting a male by beating him and damaging the victim’s door on 15 May 2022

SENTENCE: Six-month community order – including treatment for drug dependency and 30 rehabilitation activity requirement days

NOTES: Domestic violence case


CAMERON MACNAB TAIT (24) – NUTHATCH ROAD, CALNE

CONVICTED OF: Driving a Mercedes Sprinter in Turf House Lane, Bremhill, on 25 August 2021 whilst over the drug-drive limit for cannabis – at 11 micrograms of drug per litre of blood – and driving without insurance

SENTENCE: £648 fine and an 18-month disqualification from driving


SURESHKUMAR CHIRAPURATH (51) – SLEAFORD CLOSE, SWINDON

CONVICTED OF: Assaulting a female by beating her on 15 March 2021

SENTENCE: 18-month community order – including 100 hours of unpaid work and 20 rehabilitation activity requirement days

NOTES: Domestic violence case


MICHELLE LORRAINE O’DONNELL (42) – PAVENHILL, PURTON 

CONVICTED OF: Assaulting one female by beating, assaulting two males by beating them and damaging a police custody cell by throwing food around on 30 January 2022

SENTENCE: 12-month community order – including a 120-day curfew between 8pm and 7am daily and 20 rehabilitation activity requirement days

NOTES: The assault on the female was homophobic in nature, resulting in a sentence uplift


ANNE MUTHONI PEEL (47) – KNIGHTS CLOSE, WEST OVERTON

CONVICTED OF: Driving a motor vehicle on the A4 on 27 May 2022 whilst over the drink-drive limit – at 126 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath

SENTENCE: £120 fine and a 30-month disqualification from driving


MICHAEL ALFRED LORAINE (56) – COUNTY ROAD, SWINDON

CONVICTED OF: Stealing two bottles of whisky worth £46 from Iceland on 8 August 2022

SENTENCE: Committed to prison for seven days


MATTHEW DAVID BRINICOMBE (31) – BADER PARK, MELKSHAM

CONVICTED OF: Threatening to kill a male and female via electronic communication for the purpose of causing distress or anxiety on 4 August 2022

SENTENCE: Committed to prison for ten weeks suspended for 18 months – including 40 rehabilitation activity requirement days


THOMAS ANDREW FELTHAM (28) – THE WIRR, STEEPLE LANGFORD

CONVICTED OF: Driving a Ford Galaxy in High Street, Codford, whilst disqualified from driving on 11 February 2022

SENTENCE: 12-month community order – including 162 hours of unpaid work and 13 rehabilitation activity requirement days, and an eight-month disqualification from driving
