Police and fire engines called to blaze at property in Swindon’s Old Town

Firefighters are currently tackling a blaze on a residential street in Swindon.

Police vehicles and at least two fire engines were called to the incident in Pembroke Street, of Eastcott Hill, at around 5pm this afternoon (8 July).

The road is closed by police while fire crews work at the scene. Smoke can be seen in the area, but it’s not yet clear what is ablaze.

At least a dozen people could be seen out in the street as 999 crews arrived.
