Air ambulance lands at scene of crash on Wootton Bassett to Lyneham road

An air ambulance landed at the scene of a road traffic collision on the main road between Royal Wootton Bassett and Lyneham this afternoon.

Emergency services were called to the scene, on the A3102, at around 12.30pm following reports of a crash between a Seat Leon and an Audi A1.

Three people, who were trapped in the vehicles, were released by Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service, which sent crews from Wootton Bassett and Stratton (Swindon).

One female driver sustained injuries to her ribs and neck, and the other female driver has sustained small cut to her head, according to Wiltshire Police.
