Motorcyclist sustains ‘seven broken ribs’ in West Swindon hit-and-run

A motorcyclist reportedly sustained seven broken ribs in a hit-and-run.

The biker was left injured in the road after being struck by a blue Ford Focus ST, which failed to stop at the scene.

Emergency services attended the road traffic collision in Langstone Way, West Swindon, at around 7.50pm on Friday evening (29 April).

The injured biker, a man in his 20s, was taken to hospital with a number of injuries. His family say he sustained seven broken ribs.

Wiltshire Police has launched an investigation into the incident.

“We would ask any witnesses, including anyone who may have dash cam footage which can assist our enquiries, to call 101, quoting reference 54220043911”, a force spokesperson said.

They added: “Alternatively you can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.”
