£20,000 cash seized and drugs found after police raid house in Swindon

Approximately £20,000 was found when Wiltshire Police raided a house in Swindon.

Officers executed one of several drug warrants in Montagu Street, Rodbourne, yesterday (28 April).

Inside the property – a three-bedroom house of multiple occupancy – they found drugs, scales, snap bags, a gold bar and designer clothing – as well as the £20,000 in cash.

At Swindon Magistrates’ Court this morning (29 April), police financial investigator Lou Martin applied to detain the money – thought to belong to Kyle Bredbere – for a period of six months.

She said the force suspects the cash was attained through the supply of Class A drugs – as the occupant of the room is believed to be unemployed and has no legitimate income.

Nobody was inside the house when officers entered and no arrests were made, but a voluntary interview has been arranged with Mr Bredbere.

Magistrates granted the cash detention order.
