Two teenagers arrested after disorder involving ‘machete and metal bar’ in Swindon

Two teenagers were arrested when police were called to reports of a disorder in Swindon.

Police responded to the serious incident in Akers Way at around 4.30pm yesterday afternoon (27 April).

A 999 caller reported seeing one male armed with a machete, and another holding a metal bar.

It’s believed they were involved in the robbery of a motorbike or moped at the location.

Wiltshire Police confirmed they were called to a “disorder and two people carrying weapons”.

The force said officers arrested two teenage boys on suspicion of robbery and possession of an offensive weapon.

They are both currently in police custody.
