Air ambulance lands for serious incident outside supermarket in Salisbury

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance has landed for a serious incident in Salisbury.

Emergency services were called to reports of a casualty outside the Co-op Food in Castle Street at around 7.30am this morning (21 February).

It is believed a casualty suffered a medical episode, however, this has not yet been confirmed.

The air ambulance helicopter landed in Victoria Park, a stone’s throw from the scene, shortly after 8am – having left its base near Andover at around 7.40am.

Google Maps shows traffic build-up in the area, but it’s not clear whether this relates to the incident or normal Monday morning rush-hour delays.

South Western Ambulance Service and the police are both in attendance.
