Woman, 80s, rushed to hospital with head injury after being hit by car in Salisbury

Emergency services are currently at the scene of a road traffic collision in Salisbury.

A pedestrian was struck by a Fiat Panda in Rollestone Street at around 2pm this afternoon (10 February).

Wiltshire Police are in attendance of the incident near John Baker House alongside South Western Ambulance Service.

The casualty, a woman in her 80s, was taken to hospital with a head injury.

In a statement, South Western Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 13.58hrs to a road traffic collision in central Salisbury.

“We sent a rapid response vehicle and a double-crewed land ambulance.

“We conveyed one person by ambulance to Salisbury District Hospital.”
