Police close part of Frome town centre due to ‘disorderly man on scaffolding’

Police have closed part of Frome town centre for an ongoing incident.

Avon and Somerset Police closed Bath Street and Market Place after officers attended reports of a disorderly man on scaffolding this afternoon (6 February).

Wiltshire 999s understands the male is on scaffolding in King Street, throwing tiles into the street and refusing to come down.

Local residents report a police and fire service presence at the scene.

The male is believed to be under the influence of drink or drugs and emergency services are attempting to remove him from the building.
