Police appeal for witnesses after man injured in Chiseldon hit and run

A man’s been injured in a hit and run in the village of Chiseldon.

The incident happened around 11.50pm on Saturday 30 September on the Hodson Road – on the way out of Chiseldon – just before it becomes the B4005 (near the bend).

A silver Ford Focus collided with a local man in his 30s, who was walking along the verge and then veered in to a nearby hedge; the occupant(s) then ran off towards Hodson.

The victim’s body was bruised and his ankle was broken.

PC Sam Young said: “We would like to speak to anyone who witnessed this collision or saw or heard anything suspicious in this area around this time.

“We are not sure if the driver was alone or if there were passengers too – if you saw anyone walking or running from this area or anything which could be useful for our investigation, please contact me.”
