Chippenham man remains in hospital fighting for his life after attack near nightclub

A man remains in hospital fighting for his life following an attack in Chippenham.

Wiltshire 999s understands the 28-year-old local man is in critical condition following the serious assault in Foghamshire, off The Bridge, on Sunday (23 January).

It’s believed the attack, which left the victim with a significant head injury, took place shortly after an argument outside E11evn’s Nightclub between 2.30am and 3am.

Wiltshire Police has confirmed a 22-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm (GBH) with intent.

As part of their investigation, detectives were like to speak to anyone who witnesses a group of males arguing outside the club in The Bridge.

They would also like to speak to a taxi driver who may have been outside the club at the time of the incident, and may prove to be an important witness.
