Man, 28, left with serious head injury after Chippenham nightclub ‘argument’

A 28-year-old man’s been seriously injured in an attack in Chippenham town centre.

The victim was left with a significant head injury following the assault, which police believe happened in Foghamshire in the early hours of today (23 January).

Wiltshire Police is appealing for help from anyone who witnesses a group of males who were involved in an argument outside E11evn’s Nightclub in The Bridge between 2.30am and 3am.

Officers investigating the attack have arrested a 22-year-old man on suspicion of grievous bodily harm (GBH) with intent.

As part of the probe, police would also like to speak to a taxi driver who may have been outside the club at this time and may prove to be an important witness.

The victim’s condition is not currently known, but it’s understood he remains in hospital undergoing treatment for his injury.
