Air ambulance lands in Salisbury as A36 closed after serious motorcycle crash

Emergency services are attending a crash involving a motorcyclist in Salisbury.

The A36 Churchill Way East is closed by police in both directions after 999 crews were called to the scene shortly before 2.30pm today (20 November).

Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance landed in a field off Bourne Hill, a short distance from the scene.

A motorcyclist – who is thought to have collided with the central reservation – is being treated by ambulance staff. Their injuries are thought to be serious.

Motorists should avoid the main route between St Mark’s Roundabout and College Roundabout.
