31-year-old pedestrian killed after being hit by car on A419 near Swindon

A man’s been killed after being hit by a car on the A419.

The 31-year-old pedestrian was stuck by a grey Saab 93 on the southbound carriageway near Swindon at around 9.30pm last night, Wednesday 13 September.

He was rushed to hospital where he later died; the driver of the car was uninjured.

The road was closed for three hours to allow officers from the Tri-force Collision Investigation Unit to carry out their investigations.

A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said that no arrests have been made.
