A man who assaulted a member of staff at a service station in Amesbury has been convicted and fined.
Police were called to the Countess Services, on the A303, on 23 August, following reports of a disorder.
Ben Gennings, 47, of Salamanca Way, Colchester, had assaulted a cleaner by squirting water over her because she accidentally swept dirt onto his shoe.
Both the manager of the services and another member of the public approached Gennings due to his behaviour, and his actions were described as aggressive and confrontational.
The incident happened when the services were busy, with families and young children around.
Gennings appeared at Salisbury Magistrates Court last week (24/09) and pleaded guilty to common assault and a Section 5 Public Order offences.
He was ordered to pay £239 in fines, as well as compensation to his victims.
