Air ambulance tasked after firefighters tackle Trowbridge flat blaze

Firefighters are tackling a blaze in a flat in Trowbridge this evening (16 September).

Wiltshire Air Ambulance is also in attendance, responding in a rapid response vehicle, following reports of the incident in Roundstone Street.

Emergency services are believed to have started to arrive at the incident before 6pm.

Three fire crews, police and ambulance are all at the scene accompanied by critical care medics.

The road is completely blocked whilst 999 crews work – motorists should find alternative routes.

A spokesperson for Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “We are currently dealing with a fire at a property in Roundstone Street, Trowbridge.

“The road is therefore closed and we are asking people to avoid the area.”
