Prison sentence for Swindon stalker who turned up where his victim was

A Swindon man has been sentenced to two months in prison after being found guilty of stalking.

21-year-old Reece Saunders, of Wilcox Close, continued to phone his victim after his initial arrest and would also turn up at places where he thought she would be.

He was then remanded in custody for repeatedly breaking his bail conditions.

At last week’s sentencing at Salisbury Magistrates’ Court, a restraining order was put in place, forbidding him from making any form of contact with the victim.

He’s now served his custodial sentence following the time he spent in prison on remand.

LCI Catherine Baird from the Swindon Community Policing Team said: “I want to acknowledge the bravery or the victim who continuously supported police action when she was being constantly intimidated by Saunders.

“We take domestic abuse very seriously and no one should be subjected to what the victim had to endure from his actions.”
