Crime scene after man’s body found in Chippenham car park toilets

A crime scene is in place after a body was found in a Chippenham car park.

Emergency services were called to Bath Road Car Park earlier this morning (3 September) following reports of an unresponsive male.

The patient, who was within a toilet when he was discovered by a member of the public, was pronounced dead at the scene.

An ambulance rapid response vehicle, ambulance and an ambulance operations officer are in attendance.

Detectives were attending the scene at around 9.45am to investigate the circumstances surrounding the death.

Recovery of the body was underway at 10am, with an estimate that the car park will reopen by 11am at the latest.

Wiltshire Police has confirmed the man’s death is not currently being treated as suspicious.
