Explosions reported in Dauntsey as huge smoke plume seen 30 miles away

Emergency services are currently dealing with a serious fire near Lyneham.

Fire crews were called to the incident in Dauntsey at around 8pm following reports of a large fire in the Sodom Lane area

Local residents have reported hearing a number of loud explosions since the blaze broke out at Barnes Agricultural Services.

Before the sun set, a black smoke plume could be seen from as far away as Westbury – nearly 30 miles from the scene.

Smoke can still be smelt as far away Corsham, as the wind pushes the scent southwest of the incident.

Wiltshire 999s understands no people or animals have been injured in the fire.
