Prison officers injured and dock glass smashed in violent courtroom incident

A number of prison officers have suffered injuries after a homeless man launched into a violent rage after receiving his sentence on Friday.

At Salisbury Magistrates Court, 20-year-old Joshua List, of Trowbridge but with no fixed abode, was sentenced to 12 weeks imprisonment for taking a vehicle without consent.

But when List heard that he was also receiving a fine, he began to kick off and attempted to leave the dock. When he discovered the dock was locked, he smashed the window and kicked the door – damaging the frame.
