Man arrested after police called to reports of vehicle blocking Netheravon road

A man was arrested after police were called to an incident in Netheravon.

Several polices vehicles were sent to reports of a vehicle blocking Court Farm Road at around 5.10pm yesterday evening.

Eyewitnesses report hearing a male shouting and swearing whilst being put in the back of a police van.

Wiltshire Police confirmed they attended the scene, arresting a 71-year-old local man on suspicion of drink driving.

Since, Brian Hughes, 71, of Court Farm Road, has been charged with driving a motor vehicle when the alcohol level is above the limit.

He has been released on unconditional bail to appear before a court on Friday 17 September.
