South Wiltshire man in court charged with attempted rape of 11-year-old girl

A south Wiltshire man has been remanded in custody after he appeared in court charged with a number of serious sexual offences against two young girls.

Peter Daniels, 68, from Alderbury near Salisbury, appeared at Salisbury Magistrates Court on Friday 4 August after being arrested and charged yesterday, Thursday 3 August.

He was charged with seven offences including: One charge of the attempted rape of an 11-year-old girl, one charge of sexual assault of a 12-year-old girl, two charges of sexual touching of a 12-year-old girl and three charges of making indecent images of a child.

Daniels has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Winchester Crown Court on Wednesday 6 September 2017.
